I was born and raised in the Detroit Metro area. I studied automotive design while servicing customers in the restaurant business. I ended up working for a tier 1 automotive concern, moving paint all over the country. Servicing customers and exceeding their expectations became a passion for me.
After acquiring my Hazmat certification for air and highway transport, I was able to widen my field and gain even more experience, minimizing logistics expenses.
I now move food all over the country instead of paint, but it is still fun and challenging. My passion for pleasing the customer was born in the restaurant industry and my food expertise helps me today!
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my loving wife, Cheryl, who I met right out of high school and my son Derrick II. I also enjoy swimming, basketball, football, home renovations and piloting model helicopters (maybe one day I’ll move on to the real thing!!!).
